Creative Film & Video Production

Full Swing Productions is an award-winning Calgary video production company, dedicated and passionate about finding and telling great stories. We are Producers, Directors and Screenwriters with years of experience telling creative stories across a variety of formats and channels, from Feature Films to Web Series.

In 2014, we were the first Calgary team in 16 years accepted into the National Screen Institute’s Features First Program. In 2016, we were finalists in Telefilm Micro-Budget Program and in the fall of 2016 we completed production of our first feature film, In Plainview, which is currently in post production. In May 2017, our very own Matt Watterworth was named Best Filmmaker by Best of Calgary.

We are passionate about growing Alberta’s film industry, and can often be seen speaking on panels, guest lecturing, volunteering and acting as ambassadors for our industry. We also run The Alberta Filmmakers Podcast which is on a mission to promote, celebrate and enhance films and filmmakers in Alberta. Find us on the Podcast app or https://soundcloud.com/abfilmcast

What We Do

The Full Swing team has worked on numerous feature films in Calgary, and has recently finished production on our first feature film In Plainview. We’ve also garnered national attention for the Sci-Fi feature screenplay Synapse by being accepted into NSI’s Features First program. Looking for help on your Feature Film? We’d be delighted to chat.
Series are an ideal way to tell complex stories and develop amazing characters. Full Swing has produced numerous Calgary Web Series, from the comedic 10-part U Jelly? to the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo web series EXPOsure. Our team has also collaborated on larger productions such as CBC’s Heartland and the current comedy sketch series on Telus Optik, Cowtown.
The calling card short, the killer music video, the artistic expression; short-format videos are a great way to get exposure. We’ve worked on more Calgary short films and music videos than we can count! Need a hand on set, or some advice in pre- or post-production? We’d be happy to chat.
Nothing is more enlightening and powerful than a true story, and no medium is better to tell these stories than the Documentary. Got a great Documentary idea? We can help! We have years of research experience and are experts at digging up information and crafting narratives.
