Full Swing Productions is an award-winning Calgary video production company, dedicated and passionate about finding and telling great stories. We are Producers, Directors and Screenwriters with years of experience telling creative stories across a variety of formats and channels, from Feature Films to Web Series.
In 2014, we were the first Calgary team in 16 years accepted into the National Screen Institute’s Features First Program. In 2016, we were finalists in Telefilm Micro-Budget Program and in the fall of 2016 we completed production of our first feature film, In Plainview. In May 2017, our very own Matt Watterworth was named Best Filmmaker by Best of Calgary. In 2019, we completed production of our second feature film, Jonesin’.
We are passionate about growing Alberta’s film industry, and can often be seen speaking on panels, guest lecturing, volunteering and acting as ambassadors for our industry. Calgary Economic Development and ShawTV – Calgary paid us a visit on set for an exclusive behind the scenes look at our upcoming feature film, In Plainvew.
Watch Hardwood, a short film starring Bob Legare and Patrick Creery. After taking a male enhancement drug hours before his 25th anniversary dinner, Emerson calls upon his son and business rival to help him out of a hard situation.
Nominated for an AMPIA award for Best Alberta Actor and winner of Award of Merit at The Indie Fest. Hardwood was written by Jason Long, directed by Scott Westby and produced by Matt Watterworth.
A 10-episode comedy web series, starring Andy Curtis and Nicola Elson. Filmed at the delicious Calgary-based Jelly Modern Doughnuts, U Jelly? follows the awkward, jealousy-fueled budding romance of two detectives as they share a love for doughnuts.
